As Dancing Gnome says they “unapologetically brew hop pronounced styles and believe in the process of designing, refining, and perfecting our creations. With the understanding and appreciation of tradition, we take calculated liberties to forge a new path for the American Ale.”

While this Pittsburgh brewery is known for their hazy, juicy IPA’s you shouldn’t sleep on all of the styles coming from Dancing Gnome. But get in the lines early, because you may miss out!

The hours of this brewery vary. So you have to be active to keep up with their latest brews!

4. Hidden River Brewing – 4.10 ✰

“Hidden River Brewing Co. is located at Brinton Lodge in Douglassville, PA. We brew a constant rotation of creative and unusual beers, and we provide a farm-to-table food menu that sources from local farms and suppliers.”

One of the true hidden gems (pun intended maybe?) on the list. Hidden River can only be experienced to be understood. Situated in a historic farmhouse offers a delicious rotation of not just handcrafted beer, but plenty of food to enjoy as well.

T5. Warwick Farm Brewing – 4.09 ✰

Chances are you may have heard of Warwick Farm Brewing. Hell, chances are you’ve even tasted their beer before. That’s because, while the brewery’s taproom hasn’t officially opened, they have been churning out can and crowler releases regularly for all PA beer drinkers to enjoy.

While the brewing system is complete enough to allow for their regular releases, Warwick also has plans for a 5,500 square foot taproom in the near future. In the meantime, guests can pick up to-go options as they are available.

T9. Human Robot – 4.05 ✰

Built in the former location of St. Benjamin Brewing in Philadelphia, Human Robot opened to the public officially in early 2020. The brewery embraces their Human roots, crafting crisp lagers dedicated to the preservation of traditional decoction methods as well as foundational ingredients and techniques embraced by breweries that many grew up enjoying.

As Robots they enjoy the experimental use of new ingredients, techniques and sensibility. They adopt and enjoy the creative use of dry hopping and adjunct ingredients in Hazy Bois, enhanced Stouts and fruit-forward sours. Their foundational side furthers the experience of tradition with Czech Lagers poured exclusively through Lukr side pull faucets. Their robot side says “Yup that sounds stupid enough, lets try it!” Whether you come for the OG lagers or the fun new styles and techniques they will make sure you’re satisfied.

Known for a plethora of beer options from traditional styles to over the top fruited sours. At the same time, they have cultivated one of the top dining experiences in the area offering a restaurant scene that is second to none. The only way to truly experience all they have to offer is a visit for yourself.
