One of Pennsylvania’s newest, most exciting breweries is Hatfield based Imprint Beer Company. Imprint prides themselves on crafting “unique and creative beers, from hazy IPAs to lusciously thick stouts, mind melding kettle sours to crazy fruited concoctions”

Imprint has become famous for their Schmoojee concoctions, however it doesn’t stop there. Their complete draft list ranges from every style of craft beer someone could think of.

2. Dancing Gnome – 4.14 ✰

As Dancing Gnome says they “unapologetically brew hop pronounced styles and believe in the process of designing, refining, and perfecting our creations. With the understanding and appreciation of tradition, we take calculated liberties to forge a new path for the American Ale.”

While this Pittsburgh brewery is known for their hazy, juicy IPA’s you shouldn’t sleep on all of the styles coming from Dancing Gnome. But get in the lines early, because you may miss out!

Fermentery Form is a small artisan brewery in the West Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. “We produce delicate and flavorful beers, fermented with our own mixed cultures. A central pillar of our production is our Solera system. This pyramid of barrels contains beer of various ages, in an array of oak types from around the world”

The hours of this brewery vary. So you have to be active to keep up with their latest brews!

4. Hidden River Brewing – 4.10 ✰

“Hidden River Brewing Co. is located at Brinton Lodge in Douglassville, PA. We brew a constant rotation of creative and unusual beers, and we provide a farm-to-table food menu that sources from local farms and suppliers.”

One of the true hidden gems (pun intended maybe?) on the list. Hidden River can only be experienced to be understood. Situated in a historic farmhouse offers a delicious rotation of not just handcrafted beer, but plenty of food to enjoy as well.

A nationally recognized brewery, Tired Hands produces what they call “strange and beautiful beers”. Known for their hazey, juicy IPA’s Tired Hands was one of the first breweries in the state to really cultivate the beer line culture we know of today.

However beyond that Tired Hands offers three locations within walking distance to one another in Ardmore. The Fermentaria which offers a full tap list with robust food menu. The Brew Cafe which offers a smaller food and beer menu. And the General Store for all your TH to go needs.

“Brew Gentlemen was born out of the desire to carve our own path, build something meaningful, and share great experiences. BG aims to create soft, balanced and elegant beers and meaningful experiences while helping revitalize the historic steel town of Braddock, Pennsylvania”

The brewery may not seem like much from the outside, but once you step through the doors the sights, sounds and most importantly flavors are overwhelming. From the bartenders decked out in classic black and white outfits to the award winning beer there is plenty to take in at their Braddock brewery.

T 6. Warwick Farm Brewing – 4.07 ✰

Chances are you may have heard of Warwick Farm Brewing. Hell, chances are you’ve even tasted their beer before. That’s because, while the brewery’s taproom hasn’t officially opened, they have been churning out can and crowler releases regularly for all PA beer drinkers to enjoy.

While the brewing system is complete enough to allow for their regular releases, Warwick also has plans for a 5,500 square foot taproom in the near future. In the meantime, guests can pick up to-go options as they are available.

8. Human Robot – 4.03 ✰

Built in the former location of St. Benjamin Brewing in Philadelphia, Human Robot opened to the public officially in early 2020. The brewery is named for the two styles of beer the team brews. Human refers to the classic, European-style beers, while the Robot side is a reference to more modern, out-there techniques that yield hazy IPAs and crazy huge stouts.

Operating within the space is also Poe’s Sandwich Joint. As profiled in a recent Eater article; N.A Poe, who first made a name for himself in Philly as a marijuana activist, reopened his popular sandwich shop inside the new brewery. “We’re going from essentially a takeout window to having a sit-down restaurant. It’s a big upgrade,” says Poe, a.k.a. Richard Tamaccio Jr. “We closed the doors less than three months ago, and three months later we rebounded back on our feet in a better situation. I’m not trying to look backward.”

9. Second Sin Brewing – 4.01 ✰
