Imprint Beer Co. Doubles Brewery Production Through New Tanks

The Imprint Beer Company (Hatfield, PA) has only been open since September of 2018, and they have already outgrown their brewing space. Which is why they recently introduced larger brewing equipment to help keep up with the ever growing demand. We recently sat down with co-owners Ryan Diehl and Richard “Sid” Sidman to learn more about this growth and what customers can expect.

Known for their robust flavors including their IPA’s, Kettle Sours, Fruited Pale Ale’s and their ever popular “Schmoojee’s” in the short few months Imprint has been open they have cultivated a very popular brand. Stop by the brewery during any can release and you will feel the buzz for yourself. So it is no surprise that after being open for less than a year it is time they increase capacity to continue to supply their customers with the flavors they have come to enjoy.

Imprint recently introduced two 15 barrel fermenters along with a 15 barrel brite tank. These tanks join the four 7 barrel fermenters and two 7 barrel brites the brewery originally opened with. In adding these tanks Imprint will now be able to double beer production with the goal of producing roughly 1,100 barrels per year.

Below are the original 7 bbl fermenters the brewery opened with:

Larger beer production is just the beginning. The introduction of these new tanks will also allow for the beer company to can the beer in more quantities. The brewery will initially can 4 weeks at a time through a mobile canner and increase cooler size by 50% to keep up with the larger number of cans and crowlers that will be produced. With a four head crowler filler they can continue to push the to go options the area has come to expect. They will also be installing 12 more taps behind the bar as a part of this growth.

To keep up with this growth Imprint will move from two brew days a week to four. The brewery also increased their brewing staff which will allow the brand to continue growing towards the future.

The goal for right now is to keep most of the beer sales inside the tap room. While Imprint does have a handful of accounts they distribute to, the idea is to keep their tap room customer satisfied with even more of their liquid.

The tanks have already been installed and the brewery is moving forward with the brewing as we speak. Visit them at their brewery in Hatfield to experience this growth first hand. Or check them out on Facebook or Instagram to keep up with all the new additions.
