Helles Other People is a 5.3% ABV Helles style lager from Tired Hands Brewing Company (Ardmore, PA). This beer is brewed with German pilsner malt and well hopped with Hallertau Blanc and Cascade.

Pouring to a light yellow with a slight haze to it, you’ll see a pretty thick bright white head form in your glass. Aromas of fresh grain and malts, lemon, grass, and some spicy hops hit your nose.
Tasting this helles lager first brings sweet malts and grain, then finishes with a little hoppiness. It’s a complex brew with some sweetness right before the hops kick in. The hops are muted somewhat, making this helles slightly bitter but also bringing grassy and lemon notes for flavor. We also noticed some bread, lemon, grass, honey, and floral notes.
Helles Other People has a light body, with great carbonation, and is crisp and refreshing for those hot days. It’s usually canned every few months, and you can usually find it on tap at the Tired Hands Fermenteria or the Brew Cafe.
