Grist House Is Expanding Into Cold War Era Nike Missile Command Center

When Grist House first told us about their expansion plans quite some time ago we were instantly intrigued. And now they have announced those expansion plans to the world!

The announcement was recently made in an email sent to their newsletter subscribers. The brewery is opening a unique, one of a kind 55,000 square foot space in Collier Township, Southwest of Pittsburgh. The coolest part that got us instantly hooked? The building once served as the Nike Missile Command Center during the Cold War! That’s right, Grist House is opening in a former missile center!

This new location will become the main production facility, featuring a large taproom and retail space along with an extensive barrel aging program. And will become the second Grist House location in addition to their Millvale location.

No timeline to open is available yet, as the plan will take quite sometime. However the groundwork has been laid and you can expect more from Grist House soon!

While expansion continues, take a look at this video they created to show off the new location. And continue to check back as we update with more.
