Grand Opening: The Ways Restaurant And Brewery; May 23rd (Glenside)

Add The Ways Restaurant And Brewery to one of the many locations continuing to push Pennsylvania craft beer forward. The brewery, which is located at 11 S. Easton Rd in Glenside, officially opens their doors to the public on Thursday, May 23rd at 4:00!

We recently toured the location prior to opening. The brewery is run by brothers Tim and Steve Way. Tim, the head brewer, has worked in the beer business commercially in the past having spent time brewing at Weyerbacher. As he discussed with us he enjoys IPA’s, Pale ale’s, Stouts, Porters. Guests can expect these styles, plus many more from this location. Their goal is to offer a wide variety of beer to satisfy their guests palates regardless of the individual.

“Tim’s enthusiasm for Biology led him to a 13 year career as an ER Nurse before training with the American Brewer’s Guild in Vermont and spending a year learning from some of the best in the business at Weyerbacher Brewery in Easton.”

Steve brings his extensive culinary experience to the restaurant side of the business. Formerly he operated a smoked meats taco truck and will be bringing his commercial cooking experience to the business. As we were told they will offer wide variety of food items from entrees, with vegetarian and vegan options as well. The brewery will offer espresso drinks, french press service, drip coffee and a selection of loose leaf teas as well.

“Steve, in addition to running the successful food truck business Smokin’ Tacos which was nominated for rookie truck of the year in 2013, has been crafting fine beers in his garage for 15 years.”

This 4,000 square foot location, which was once a print shop, has a 10 barrel brew system that will offer 12 taps with 6 of their beers being poured directly from brite tanks. Cider, wines and spirits will also be available to offer a selection of drinks whether you are a craft beer fan or not. They even plan to offer wine on tap as well!
