Grand Opening: Lincoln Avenue Brewery July 27th (Bellevue)

Lincoln Avenue Brewery becomes one of Pennsylvania’s latest breweries as they plan to open their doors on Saturday, July 27th! The brewery gets its name from its location on the corner of Hawley and Lincoln Ave in Bellevue. What was once a former dentist office and originally a bank this 2,100 square feet location will be home to Bellevue’s very first brewery.

We recently visited the location and toured the facility with Grant and Lisa Saylor. Grant comes to Lincoln Ave with 10 years homebrewing experience as well as hospitality management and a career as a chef. It is because of this vast restaurateur experience that the brewery will be offering sandwiches, salads, beer cheese mustard and other pub food.

The brewery will keep the authenticity of the building with raised arched windows, solid brick walls and the original ceiling which was restored from not one drop ceiling…. but two! Construction is still ongoing but check out the facility for yourself (some pictures courtesy Lincoln Ave on Facebook):

The 2 barrel brewhouse (which was once a former tailor shop) will sit raised above the taproom making for a very unique dining and drinking experience. The brewery will have 12 taps with the plan to have 6 of their beers being offered and increasing from there. They will offer one tap for homebrewers. They will round out the drinking experience by having ciders, meads, wines and spirits available.

Our impression from conversating with Grant and Lisa is that Bellevue is in for a real treat. With future plans to offer outdoor seating to involve the main street atmosphere they are putting an emphasis and focus on the Bellevue neighborhood around them.
