Grand Opening: Axemann Brewery July 8th (Bellefonte)

Congratulations to Axemann Brewery who is set to become the latest brewery in PA to open their doors to the public. The brewery officially opens at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 8th. The new space is located at 2042 Axemann Road in Bellefonte, PA.

For locals, the name Axemann may be quite familiar. As you can see from a profile on their website, the brewery has been producing beer for the area for six years.

“Axemann Brewery is the home of Blue Stripe beer, perfected as a homebrew over the past six years in the Stahl barn milk house by Rod Stahl and Stephen Hirlinger. The brewing operation has continued to evolve, with several long-standing varieties including an Oktoberfest and a stout. Demand and enthusiasm for the beer have grown as well, influencing Rod’s decision to make the brewery official.”

The production brewery is situated inside a 20,000 square foot space which was home to the former Cerro Metal Factory in Titan Energy Park. What makes the space even more unique is the active stream bank that runs alongside the building. As you can see below, the brewery highlighted this feature in the building out of the property.

A wide variety of beer will be available. You can see a full list of what the brewery has produced here. The taproom will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm.

Craft beer won’t be the only hand made items coming out of the space. The brewery taproom will include eat-in and takeout food by The Blonde Bistro, which is currently based in Bellefonte PA.
