If you’re like us, a cold glass of craft beer is worth traveling for. While we appreciate our local watering holes, we also place a lot of value in destination visits as well. This is why we have scoured the state to find some of the most scenic locations the Pennsylvania craft beer industry has to offer.

South County Brewing | York, PA

South County opened its new custom-built brewing facility in 2022 and it has already become a must-visit. Featuring douglas fir timber frame construction throughout vaulted ceilings this space is a traveler’s dream. With brewing and distilling taking place onsite guests are welcome to enjoy both handmade craft beer and cocktails. Couple this with a mouth-watering menu and this space is cannot miss. Outside is a stunning timber framed patio complete with a bar and stone fireplace offering a relaxing atmosphere and sunset views.


Turkey Hill Inn & Brewery | Bloomsburg, PA

Just yards off the Lightstreet Exit on I80 at 991 Central Rd, Bloomsburg there’s a one-of-a-kind brewery that represents the original farming roots of their town’s history. Turkey Hill Brewing Company is a brewpub that comes complete with it’s own inn located in an 1800s era refurbished barn. The large wooden structure houses some of the areas best beers and food.

With a historic inn onsite, this is the perfect getaway for the craft beer lover who is looking to take in a delicious beer in a scenic setting. The views at this location are too breathtaking to describe.

SpringGate Brewery | Harrisburg, PA

Housed in a barn on a farm estate that dates back to the early 1800’s is the SpringGate Brewery in Harrisburg. The SpringGate Brewery is located on the same estate as the Vineyard Winery which offers 12 acres of wine grapes, their very own hop garden, an apple orchard, and plenty of wild life.

Lost In The Wilds | Shippenville, PA

As the name suggests you cannot get much more off the beaten path than by visiting Lost In The Wilds Brewing in Shippensville. This family-friendly brewery boasts handmade craft beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, and more.

Guests are welcome to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs to take advantage of the scenic area.


Cobblehaus at The Falls | Grove City, PA

Cobblehaus Brewing opened its second location known as “Cobblehaus at The Falls” in Grove City in late 2022. And it has already become a must visit destination brewery in Pennsylvania. The spacious taproom is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of wooded land and the running falls.

Outside features fire pits, picnic tables, and outdoor activities all while you sip a beer and relax along the falls. You will be hard pressed to find a more scenic location while being able to enjoy the outdoors and well made Pennsylvania craft beer.

Berwick Brewing | Berwick, PA

While Berwick Brewing has a deep history of bottling well-made, classic style beers. It is their brewery location that really steals the show. Located along the Susquehanna River allows Berwick to offer a one-of-a-kind view.

The Berwick Brewing beer garden allows for an open-air entertainment venue that is well worth traveling for.

Shy Bear Brewing | Lewistown, PA

Surrounded by nature, nestled on a rustic ridge oasis lies Shy Bear brewing”. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. One visit to Shy Bear and it will be no surprise to have you wanting to come back for more. The brewery and taproom in Lewistown have become synonymous with providing guests with an overall dining experience that cannot be missed.

The eco-friendly brewery pairs its extremely robust draft beer list with some of the most mouthwatering dishes you will find. Couple this with a scenic location and a heavy rotation of live events in their large outdoor beer garden and it is no wonder they have built such a loyal fanbase both near and far.

Rising River Brewing | Macungie, PA

Winner of the 2022 Breweries In PA Readers Choice award for “Best Destination Brewery” Rising River sits on a 2 acre property adjacent to the Little Lehigh Creek Riverbank in a 100+ year old barn. With as much history as you have in the barnhouse setting, and the riverbank running along the outdoor beer garden, it is no surprise guest flock to this destination visit.

ShawneeCraft Brewing | Delaware, PA

ShawneeCraft Brewing sits at the historic Shawnee Inn which dates back to the early 1900s. The views may bring you to this location, but the activities will keep you coming back.

Shawnee offers joint packages that include skiing, golfing, spa, and much more. The best way to fully understand all that is offered is to visit an overnight stay at their inn.

The Englewood | Hershey, PA

Set in a rustic barn on what was once an old dairy farm, The Englewood is a shining example of a brewery that offers a complete experience regardless of your consumption preferences. Sitting on either the first or second level of their spacious outdoor patio and deck guests look out to the open fields that central PA has become known for.

A complete offering of rotating homemade craft beers is just the tip of the iceberg. The Englewood’s locally and regionally sourced menu offers starters, entrees, brick oven pizza, desserts, a kids menu and so much more. Pair all of this with their Pennsylvania-made wines and spirits and there is no limit to how long you will spend dining.


Therapy Brewing | Montoursville, PA

Nestled in the hills of Montoursville, Therapy Brewing has been producing its beer at their brewery located on the owner’s 90+ acre plot of land since 2020. The cabin-like brewery offers some of the most picturesque views you will find within the state. The views are paired with a rotating list of craft beers to make for a must-stop destination.

Wyndridge Farm | Dallastown, PA

Home to the Winding Path Brewing Company, Wyndridge Farms is the definition of a destination visit. The farm boasts space for weddings, beer gardens, the brewery (of course), cider making, and their very own Inn.

With both beer and cider produced on-site, along with a robust food menu, it is easy to get lost in this location for days. Put all of this on a glorious 70+ acre location and it is no wonder Wyndridge finds themselves on this list.
