Brew Gentlemen Plans New Beer Garden At “Allegheny Overlook” For Summer; Teases New Taproom Format

As you may know, this past Spring, the Downtown Pittsburgh Partnership announced the creation of the “Allegheny Overlook” which is located along the Allegheny Riveron on Fort Duquesne Boulevard.

According to a report from BizJournals.com the location will be closed from Stanwix Street to 7th Street, the westbound lane of the Fort Duquesne Boulevard will close to vehicle traffic from May 10th through Oct. 7th, 2021.

“The park is expected to launch in June 2021, and will offer riverfront views, food, drinks, art and music,” the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership said about the park.

And joining the park will be one of the area’s most popular craft breweries; Braddock-based Brew Gentlemen.

The beer garden will be open starting Thursday, June 24th and run seven days a week until late September. The brewery will be joined by many other vendors which will include food, live music, and other great accompaniments to the park.

But that isn’t all. In an Instagram post about the announcement, Brew Gentlemen confirmed this will be the only taproom location for the brewery while they work on their main location over the summer.

“The Allegheny Overlook site, featuring a colorful street mural by artist/badass Janel Young (@jy.originals), will be our home for the summer in lieu of our Braddock taproom, which we will be reopening in a new format in the fall. We’ll be kicking everything off on Thursday, June 24th, with more details to come in the next two weeks. We can’t wait to be outdoors, together again, all summer long.”

Keep up with all Brew Gentlemen news by following the brewery on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. And of course, let us know how you enjoy the beer garden for yourself!
