Exciting news, Abomination Brewing, the PA nomadic brewery you’ve probably sampled a few times, is about to get a lot easier to find! They have signed a distribution deal as of January 2019 that will allow consumers to purchase cans of Abomination Brewing Company beer throughout Pennsylvania.
ABC has started gypsy brewing (meaning they are using other brewery facilities to brew and package their beer) through Twelve Percent Beer Project. A limited amount of cans/kegs will be distributed to both Steel City Beer in western PA, and 31st and Wharton in eastern PA. Each are area distributors so you will see these cans in your local bottle shops! Better move quick though, if you’ve had their beer before, you know these won’t last long!
This is exciting news since the only way to get Abominations’ beer prior to this was at PA beerfests or to get one of the collaboration beers they have done with other breweries.
We talked with Co-owner Josh Arno for more details and his thoughts on the news:
BIPA: What does this mean for the brand and brewery going forward?
JA: We will continue gypsy brewing extremely limited batches until we find the home for our new taproom. Also keep your eyes out for us at some local PA beerfests throughout 2019.
BIPA: Are there plans to distribute further?
JA: As of now we are being distributed through PA, NJ, NY, OH. This may change as we continue to grow but our number one goal is to get the freshest beer possible into people’s hands.
BIPA: Will you continue to do brewery collaborations?
JA: We already have a few collaborations slated for 2019 with some insane breweries we are super excited about, and will be adding more as we go. Look out for announcements!
BIPA: When can fans see you open a brewery location?
JA: Hoping for 2019/early 2020 but we are taking our time finding the perfect location that fits all of our needs. Cheers!
