2SP Brewing Company and Wawa have once again teamed up on a beer collaboration. This time it’s for “Sunfest Strawberry Lemonade Shandy”, and releases start this week! (See below)
This 4% ABV shandy is labeled by both brands as the perfect summertime crusher. On the heels of three successful holiday brews, the brand new Sunfest Strawberry Lemonade Shandy, a collaboration between 2SP Brewing Company’s Head Brewer, Bob Barrar, and Wawa’s Manager of Concept Development and Beverage Guru, Michael McLaughlin, is a crushable, light-bodied shore beer with a touch of strawberry sweetness made with Wawa’s fresh lemonade — available at $8.99/ 6-pack.
“Working closely with Wawa’s beverage guru, Michael McLaughlin, we brewed a modern shandy recipe that includes a unique yeast that showcases the spectrum of flavors of Wawa’s Strawberry Lemonade. The collaborative approach to the Sunfest beer was to find that balance of upfront strawberry sweetness with a refreshing lemon citrus finish that comes from the lemonade. What’s the result? Wawa’s newest location in Philadelphia at 2600 Pennrose Ave will host the official Sunfest kickoff. Festivities begin at 4:00 pm and include the ceremonial first pour, free samples, beach-themed giveaways, and they will have 6 packs of Sunfest available for purchase. Sunfest will also hit shelves at PA Wawa stores on Thursday at their Chadds Ford, Middletown, Blakeslee, Emmaus, and Horsham locations.
Saturday 6/26
2SP Brewing Company in Aston will host their Sunfest launch & Beach Party. Headto the brewery in Delco for a day of summer fun and enjoy boardwalk games, live music, tasty food trucks, and a Wawa Lemonade stand. Six-packs of Sunfest Shandy will be available for purchase.
