Brewers: Michael Spychalski (head brewer), Jon Briggs (homebrewer, head of single barrel seasonals)

The Brews:

  • Year Round Flagships
    • Wacker German Pale Ale (Kolsch)
      • 5% ABV
      • This brew pours to a pale and straw-like color, producing a pillowy white head that will quickly dissipate. A combination of feint hop aroma and slight fruitiness from fermentation. Which will lead well into a well-rounded flavor consisting of sweet malt and a hint of bitterness that does not linger on the tongue. Balanced and crisp this beer serves well as a session brew to accompany your sunny afternoon.
    • Little Dutch Dunkel (Dunkelweizen)
      • 5% ABV
      • Pouring to a dark reddish brown it produces an off-white head that dissolves very slowly. There’s a subtle aroma of roasted wheat, nuttyness and hoppy pine. A light flavor of bread and biscuit complements the yeast character.
  • Rotational/Seasonals:
    • Maibock (May), Munich Helles Lager, Radler (coming soon)
    • Taproom – rotating single barrel offerings

*History: Originally opening its doors as the Eagle Brewery in 1853 it was later purchased by Joseph Wacker in 1871 and had its name changed to the Wacker Eagle Brewing Co. Running successfully until 1956 when its doors closed as the oldest brewery in Lancaster. Then in 2014 Bryan Kepner reopened the brewery after securing the Wacker name and blessing from the family to bring the eagle back to Lancaster, Pa.
