Truth Bird is a 7.2% ABV New England Style IPA from Levante Brewing Company (West Chester, PA). Truth Bird is hopped with Galaxy, Amarillo, Citra, and Rakau hops, and has lactose and pectin added as well.
Created in collaboration with local artist, Brian Hearns of LivnSol, this hazy IPA is fermented with blood orange and pineapple purée, and has a similar malt base to Cloudy and Cumbersome but the extensive fruit addition adds abv.
Pouring to a hazy orange with a sizable head, you get tropical fruit aromas immediately along with some orange peel and pineapple. Tasting Truth Bird brings pineapple up front, leading way to a blood orange bitterness on the backend. A medium body and creamy mouthfeel make this a juicy IPA we want to see canned again!
