Trendler Schwarzbier from Tired Hands Brewing Company

Trendler Schwarzbier is a 5.5% Schwarzbier from Tired Hands Brewing Company (Ardmore, PA). Brewed with German Pilsner malt and debittered black malt, this lager is brewed with Saaz hops that Jean picked in Germany.

Pouring to a dark black color, you will get a hefty off white, almost tan, head in this beer. The lacing is minimal on this.
Aromas of light toffee, raisins, malts and some dried berries.

Tasting Trendler Schwarzbier brings those toffee and roasted malt flavors you would expect with this dark lager. We noticed notes of black licorice, raisins, as well as those dried berries we got aromas of. Crisp and refreshing, there is a medium mouthfeel on this one. Not overly carbonated this Trendler has a clean finish.

Overall a solid lager, much different than the usual cans Tired Hands releases every week. It's nice to see the different styles explored, we were glad to try this.
