The Hunt Series is a Double India Pale Ale with 8.3% ABV from Wyndridge Farm out of Dallastown, PA. Traditionally known for their ciders and bottling, this foray into the D-IPA world marks the first canning run done by Wyndridge to be a part of a larger series featuring some of their seasonal and pilot brews.

Pouring to a hazy, golden yellow this beer has a lovely tropical aroma with just a subtle amount of floral hop scent. There’s a decent off white head that quickly dissolves into its base, but still leaves plenty of layered lacing on the glass.

This Hunt Series brew offers an international mix of hops ranging from Mosaic and Citra, all the way to Mandarina Bavaria, Waimea, and Calypso. Together these hops serve to create an incredibly juicy pale ale, complete with flavors of mango, guava and pineapple. Copious amounts of wheat and oats also serve to create a mouthfeel that is velvety smooth, making this double go down dangerously easy.

This brew is a testament that you can definitely an old fox new tricks as Wyndridge has brought a delicious to the beer world. Track this one down if you can in its 12 oz. cans, a nice downsizing from the traditional and sometimes overwhelming 16 oz. cans we often see most D-IPAs come in.
