SLY FOX TO HOST WORLD’S LARGEST KANJAM TOURNAMENT AND MUSIC FESTIVAL

Sly Fox Brewing is hosting their annual Can Jam Festival on Saturday September 30th starting at 10am.

Featuring live music from top indie artists, an optional, brewery-supported 16- or 40-mile bike ride along the Schuylkill River Trail, and the world’s largest KanJam tournament.

Billed as the world’s largest KanJam tournament, 160 pre-registered teams will compete to win their weight in beer. Registration opens online on August 1, and fills up quickly, so interested participants are urged to set their alarms for 9 a.m. on 8/1, then click here to register. The cost of registration is $65 per team of two, and includes two t-shirts, two koozies, two food tickets, four beer tickets, and more – including a shot at the grand prize: the team’s weight in beer, measured on a homemade scale designed by Philadelphia restaurant owner William Reed (last year’s winning team took home 21 cases of Sly Fox beer). Fees increase to $75 per team on 9/1, if any registrations are still available at that time.

Whether participating in the tournament or not, guests are invited to play friendly games of KanJam; other activities and festivities will include:

Sly Fox food, beer and gear, available on a pay-as-you-go basis

An optional 16- or 40-mile bike ride along the Schuylkill River Trail, which Sly Fox has been active in supporting and maintaining, with snack stops provided for participating riders along the way, plus tickets that can be redeemed on site for beer or food, en route to Can Jam (in 2016, more than 300 riders participated)

Live music beginning at 12 noon, including…

John Train

Children and well-behaved pets are welcome, and guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the music and festivities all day long
