Sexy Motherpucker from Weyerbacher Brewing Company

Sexy Motherpucker is a 7.5% ABV sour ale from Weyerbacher Brewing Company (Easton, PA).

Brewed with citra hops late in the boil, you get a hoppy finish to this different style from a brewery known for their stouts and IPA’s!

Pouring to a clearish amber/brown color, you’ll get a thick off-white head with some moderate lacing in your glass. (We used a Sempli glass, in case you were wondering.)

Acidic aromas as well as Citra hops are very apparent once you pour. Staying true to the style, this brew is tart and fruity, earth notes (plums, digs, dates). This sour is a complex beer and should be given a fair chance, after all Weyerbacher brewed it!

Sipping Sexy Motherpucker brings a tart and tangy taste that is dry. The Citra hops and male additions bring a sweetness, allowing this brew to finish not as sour as you would think.

Moderately carbonated with a thin body, this is a different sour. One that isn’t too puckering, but still refreshing for those warm days outside.

A limited special release, you can find this brew available at the brewery taproom, and on draft/bottles wherever Weyerbacher distributes.
