Rival IPA is a 6.2% ABV/55 IBU West Coast Style India Pale Ale from Yards Brewing Company (Philadelphia, PA). A seasonal release, Rival IPA is brewed with pale crystal and rye malts. Bravo and Nugget hops are used for bittering, Chinook hops are added to the hopback, and then finally dry hopped with Centennial, Citra, Simcoe, and Columbus hops.
Pouring to a copper color you will get a bright white fluffy head. Aromas of rye, malt, piney hops, and bright citrus hit your nose. Flavors of spicy rye, caramel malts, and piney and earthy hops are all noticeable. With a light mouthfeel, this beer is crisp and slightly bitter.
