Newbold from Phildelphia Brewing Company is a 7% ABV India Pale Ale. This is brewed and dry-hopped with a lot of Amarillo hops.

Pouring to a dark golden/amber color with a small head, you’ll notice smells of floral hops and citrus. You’ll also pick up hints of caramel and malt as well.

Tasting brings a load of flavors. You’ll notice: honey, citrus, pine, and a little orange and toffee on the backend. You would expect a lot of bitterness or of this, but it’s pretty mild with a crisp finish.

Overall a medium bodied IPA with a smooth finish. This is balanced for an IPA, and has medium carbonation. A great brew to drink during the fall months!
