New Zealand IPA & Golden Dilemma from Vault Brewing Company

New Zealand IPA and Golden Dilemma are the latest can releases from Vault Brewery out of Yardley PA. Vault does things a little different with can releases than your usual line with chairs, and allows you to reserve cans online on their website, starting 24 hrs before the release. You then can pick up what you ordered starting the release morning and they must be picked up within 7 days of the release.

Vault also surprised their beer lovers with a free 4-pack of Nitro Cold Brew from Pretty Bird Coffee with every max beer allotment ordered. Pretty Bird Coffee is their house roasted coffee.

New Zealand IPA is a 7% ABV/ 80 IBU India Pale ale brewed with Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, and Waimea hops and pilsner malt.

Pouring to a hazy golden orange color with a thick white foamy head that lingers in the glass. Smells of tropical fruits and floral hops hit your nose with a slight malt aroma. Tasting brings all the juicy citrus (think melons and berries) flavors you would expect with some notes of sweet malt/grain to round it out.

Golden Dilemma is a 8.4% ABV/28 IBU golden strong ale brewed with Pacifica and Mandarina Bavaria hops. Vault added unpasteurized orange blossom flower honey to give it a sweet flavor.

This beer pours to murky yellowish orange with a similar bright white fluffy head. Smells of the sweet honey are immediately apparent and you can also notice some yeast. Tasting brings that smooth honey flavor and sweetness, with notes of lemon peel and orange. This is a very smooth beer for being labeled an 8.4% Golden Strong Ale.
