Lustra is a 5.8% ABV/45 IBU American pale ale from Dancing Gnome Brewing Company out of Pittsburgh PA. This beer is brewed with Citra and Amarillo hops and a 3 different grains (American 2-Row, Flaked Barley, White Wheat).
Pouring to a hazy yellow/orange you’ll notice a small head with a decent amount of lacing in your glass. Smells of tropical and citrus fruit hit your nose and you can only guess what this will taste like. We also picked up smells of honey, some biscuit from the grains, and a little pine.
Tastes bring a slightly bitter hop forward flavor with some malty undertone. Mango, pineapple, orange, and melon are some of the citrus fruit tastes you’ll get and also some “dank” notes of grass are noticeable. A refreshing take on the American pale ale, Lustra at 5.8% ABV, is lightly carbonated and has a creamy and pillowy mouthfeel.
