IPA #3 from Weyerbacher Brewing Company

IPA #3 is the 3rd out of 4 in a yearly IPA series from Weyerbacher Brewing Company out of Easton PA. #3 comes in at 5.5% ABV and features two New Zealand hops, Rakau and Wakatu.

Pouring to a light yellow/gold, it pours cloudy and you’ll notice a lot of white foamy head with lots of lacing. Aromas of citrus fruit, lime zest, and grapefruit hit your nose as this one settles in your glass.

Tasting this new IPA really brings out those New Zealand hops, without being dubbed a “hop bomb.” You get notes of citrus fruit, some orange, grapefruit, and pineapple. It’s got a light body to it and light to medium mouthfeel as well. It finishes off with a nice refreshingly light hoppy lime zest flavor. While this is different, it’s very tasty and works for this brew.

You can find this is 16oz cans and on tap! Think about drinking this after some upcoming spring cleaning or yard work, you won’t be disappointed.
