Infinite Highway from Dancing Gnome Beer

Infinite Highway is an American Double Pale Ale with 8% ABV from Dancing Gnome Beer out of Pittsburgh, PA. Despite their youth (opened in 2016) Dancing Gnome is already making a name for themselves with a wide variety of American pales on tap and multiple canning releases early into their brewery life.

Infinite Highway pours to a creamy yellowish-orange color with a decent amount of haze that only lets some light pass through it. Gloriously hopped with Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic there is a vibrant aroma of tropical fruits like pineapple and passionfruit that create a welcoming scent for any beer lover.

First sips definitely follow through on the promise of juiciness, as the orange zest really takes over to combine with the already expectant pineapple flavor. There is a hint of berry and other, less assertive fruits that become more noticeable as the brew warms.

Made with the intention of being a smoother pale ale with limited bitterness, Infinite Highway is a double that is easily crushable, but still has backbone of its higher ABV. For those drinkers normally used to sessions and standard 5-7% ABV beers this is a great entry into the D-IPA genre with its low bitterness and smooth taste.
