Imperial Jo from Lancaster Brewing Company (Lancaster, PA) is a 8% ABV/ 50 IBUs imperial milk stout. This award-winning brew uses dark roast small batch coffee and espresso from Lancaster County Roasters. 

Pouring to a dark black with a moderate tan head, you will see lots of lacing on the glass. You will notice smells of licorice, espresso, and milk chocolate, with a little caramel and roast malt. 

Tasting notes bring roasted malts with chocolate and vanilla up front, with dominant coffee flavors throughout. The mouthfeel on Imperial Jo is not too thick, and the 8% ABV is hidden well. 

Available in a variety of forms, this beer is released in February and pairs well with  ribs, and other rubbed meats.
