Heaps Of Green is a 6.3% ABV India Pale Ale brewed by Conshocken Brewing Company (Conshohocken, PA/Bridgeport, PA). Brewed with malted wheat and oats, this IPA is packed with late addition hops (Amarillo, Bravo, and Mosaic). Left unfiltered, “Heaps” is a limited can release that was only available at the brewery.
Pouring to a dark orangish gold, you’ll get a generous bright white head that lingers for a while in your glass. You’ll also notice slight lacing as well. Aromas of pine, floral hops, oats, and some tropical fruit notes (think citrusy grapefruit).
Tasting this cloudy brew, you’ll gets notes of the citrusy grapefruit and floral hops. With a full body you will taste some oats and wheat flavors, but wont get a bite that a lot of very hoppy beers give.
Overall another great IPA offering from Conshocken. From MC5 to Hop Life to now Heaps Of Green, Conshohocken Brewing has proved they can make a variety of IPA’s, leaving you wanting more.
