Good Vibes is a 7.3% ABV West Coast Style IPA from Voodoo Brewing Company (Meadville, PA). Hopped 5 times in the kettle and double dry hopped, this brew contains crazy amounts of Galaxy, Amarillo, Mosaic and Apollo hops.
Pouring to a clear golden orange, you’ll get a small foamy white head. The lacing is moderate on your glass with this one, and the head dissipates slowly.
Aromas of citrus and tropical fruits are very apparent on the initial nose of those brew, with other notes of caramel malts, some grains, pine, and resin.
Tasting brings strong hop forward flavors up front with a background of smooth citrus and floral notes. Dry and bitter, you’ll notice moderate carbonation and a lighter body on this IPA, finishing smoother than you think. We also noticed flavors of mango, grapefruit, light malts, and lemon towards the finish.
Overall a crazily hopped beer that is a staple for Voodoo. If you haven’t tried this go seek it out, with the hop bill and flavors we have described we think you will be pleasantly surprised!
