General Braddock’s IPA is a 6.8% ABV American IPA from Brew Gentlemen (Braddock, PA). This is their year-round flagship east coast style IPA, and is most certainly a crowd favorite.

Pouring to a murky and hazy orange color with a bright white head, you’ll get noticeable lacing on your glass. Aromas of floral hops and tropical fruits (grapefruit, mango, melon, citrus) and subtle pine smells hit your nose. 

You take a few sips of this brew and quickly realize why it’s their flagship IPA. Complex, yet smooth and drinkable, you will want another glass. Juicy is an understatement here, giving off flavors of citrus fruits (think tropical – pineapple, mango, guava, and grapefruit). We noticed slight flavor from the pale malts and a nice bitterness on the finish. 

With a medium body and creamy mouthfeel, General Braddock’s IPA finishes slightly dry with a small malt backbone that just works perfectly. With light to medium carbonation, you’ve got a brew that you must try when around Pittsburgh!
