Fruit Fetish is a 6.2% ABV/11 IBU sour ale from Levante Brewing Company (West Chester, PA).
Brewed with sweet peaches and passion fruit purée, this beer will remind you of an Italian soda. It was kettle soured giving it some tartness, lactose helps the body of the brew, and there is a spritzy finish.
Pouring to a dark orange you’ll get a decent white head on your glass. Aromas of fresh fruit (peaches and passionfruit) are very noticeable on the nose.
Tasting Fruit Fetish brings flavors of peaches, papaya, and passionfruit. The Italian soda comparison really makes sense with this one, as it’s light and refreshing.
This beer is very well balanced. It is sour upon first sip then the lactose leads way to a sweet smooth finish.
