Fleur de Lehigh is a Spiced Belgian Ale from Philadelphia Brewing Company. Featuring an image of historic Shibe Park, the Philadelphia centered baseball stadium that stood on Lehigh Ave. until 1976.
Pouring to a hazy orange there is only a limited amount of carbonation and a fluffy white head that dissolves quickly without much lacing. Brewed with ginger,lemongrass and other herbs this Belgian Ale has a floral aroma with hints of the spice to come.
Spice forward there’s a ginger bite that does linger on the tongue without being too strong. As the beer warms discerning drinkers will notice an almost herbal tea essence to the brew. At only 4.5% ABV and a thin mouth feel some of the harsher aspects of the ginger are tempered. This beer is best enjoyed on a cool summer evening on your deck under the stars.
