First Can Release From Great Barn Brewery; May 18th

Great Barn Brewery (New Hope, PA) prides themselves on their farm to glass beer making style. But then again, when you brew on a 117 acre farm would you expect any less? See our review on their taproom here.

On Friday, May 18th they take the next step in their evolution by canning their first beer! They enter the canning market with their PA Preferred India Pale Ale named Where the Delaware Am I? (7.0% ABV,  48 IBU’s)

The tradition of making farm to glass beers is highlighted here with an American Style India Pale Ale. Made from their finest farm grown pale malt, they add flavors of roasted barley and crystal malts to add color and composition.

Hops varieties of Chinook, Citra and Mosaic provide a slightly bitter and hoppy aroma. Once more dry hopped for additional aroma and bouquet with Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria. Fermented with an heirloom variety of yeast from a long forgotten brewery and time.

From the top of their farm one can take in the beauty of the lazy Delaware River as it carves its way, Great Barn finds that this viewing experience goes best with their favorite beer.

Two releases will be offered, one in the tap room and another at the farm. The tap room can release will take place Friday, May 18th at 12 W. Mechanic St., New Hope starting at 2:00 pm. Free Philly pretzels and farm fresh beer will be waiting for everyone!

The release at the farm will take place Sunday, May 20th at 665 Kintner Rd, Kintnersville from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM. This is a fantastic chance to come out and see where your local beers are grown and brewed.

Cans will be $16 for one 4 pack, with no allotment restrictions. Congrats to Great Barn for entering the canning world!
