Easton Brown & Down is a 5.6% ABV/15 IBU brown ale from Weyerbacher Brewing out of Easton PA. 

Brewed with Simcoe and Fuggle hops and chocolate malts, this beer pours to a dark brown color with two fingers of foamy white/tan head. Aromas of roasted and sweet chocolate malts hit your nose immediately, with toffee, nuts and slight coffee. 

First sips of Easton Brown and Down bring caramel, chocolate, and a slight nuttiness, with some toffee and roasted malts flavor. A thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation make this beer smoother to the taste. 

Overall this is a really solid brown ale offering from Weyerbacher. It was quite enjoyable to drink, and not too bitter or malty. It’s a different style that many are hesitant to try, but will surprise you.
