Draai Hop Hallertau Huell Melon is a 8% ABV American wild ale from Draai Laag Brewing Company (Millvale, PA). This beer was the first in The Draai Hop series, which is a limited series that started using casks of aged fermented ale, and ends with a dry hopping of a single variety of hops.
Pouring to a clear copper color, you’ll get a small white head in your glass. Aromas of musty yeast and minerals fill your nose before taking that first sip.
Flavors of hoppy fresh melon and other fruits like cucumber and kiwi are noticeable to us. The beer is sour but not very acidic as you would expect, with the hops more present on the backend to balance the tartness.
