Diabolical Doctor Wit is a 4.7% ABV Witbier brewed by Spring House Brewing Company (Lancaster, PA). Brewed with a wheat base, this beer is left unfiltered and spices with coriander, orange peel, and was also aged with lavender to add a slight floral taste.
Pouring to a murky yellow color with some haziness, you’ll get a small white foamy and fizzy head that appears in your glass. We didn’t notice much lacing on this one. Smells of orange, coriander, lemon, grass, sour grapefruit, bubblegum, and decent wheat aromas.
Tasting Diabolical Doctor Wit brings many flavors, so you wouldn’t expect from a Belgian Wit style. Quite complex, you’ll get wheat flavors first, turning to some citrus notes, and finishing with some spice from the coriander. We noticed flavors of orange, lemon, lavender, coriander, and some peppercorn.
This one has a light body, medium carbonation, and a dry finish. It’s a refreshing and light beer for the warmer months. Diabolical is a limited release beer and can be found now on shelves and on tap at the brewery!
