Crimson Pistil is a 6.2% ABV/52 IBU India Pale Ale from Troegs Independent Brewing. This IPA is brewed with hibiscus flowers, Azacca, Nugget, and Vic Secret hops, and Pilsner and Vienna malts.
Pouring to a reddish amber you will notice a big fluffy white (slightly pink) head once your pour is finished. Aromas of fresh (dank, wet) hops, flowers, caramel malts, and berries hit your nose.
Tasting Crimson Pistil brings a lightly carbonated and smooth tasting beer. Sweet floral and hisbiscus notes rush your tastebuds, along with berry juice, wet hops, and some malts. This brew has a small spicy hop bitterness to the finish, and a slight tartness that stuck around just a little. Medium bodied and not overly carbonated, this is an easy drinking and refreshing new offering from Troegs.
