Blueberry Pankcake Milkshake IPA from Tired Hands Brewing Co.

by Jack Cubberly

Blueberry Pancake Milkshake IPA is the latest installment in the beloved milkshake series from Tired Hands and Omnipollo. From its bizarre pinkish purple color to its taste of a classic breakfast meal, this beer is unlike any other that you’ll encounter. Audacious amounts of oats and lactose sugar make this beer smooth and creamy like a real milkshake, but with a 7.5% alcohol content.

Citra and particularly the Mosaic hops really shine through and compliment the blueberry purée. As the upfront sweetness begins to settle, a distinct new taste subtly arrives as the unlikely combination of graham crackers, Pennsylvania maple syrup, cinnamon sticks and Madagascar vanilla beans make an appearance.

This is one of those beers that turns a far-fetched idea into an impressive reality. As usual Tired Hands and Omnipollo have delivered a remarkable beer that is original and dare I say revolutionary. And for those of you out there who have this in your fridge, remember what the can says:

“The beer in this can is hyper fresh, unfiltered and fragile. Enjoy the contents ASAP for a beautiful and befuddling organoleptic experience”
