Bigger Hop from East End Brewing Company

Bigger Hop (2017) is a 9.5% ABV American double IPA brewed by East End Brewing Company (Pittsburgh, PA). This big, hoppy beer, is brewed with Amarillo and Simcoe hops, pilsner malt and some cane sugar. It was also dry hopped twice during fermentation. Different than the hazy IPA’s, this brew packs a punch!

Pouring to a clear amber/gold, you will see a bright white head form that sticks around in your glass. Aromas of citrus and piney hops, subtle malty notes, and some bread hit your nose right away. You will also notice some juicy pineapple notes and Tasting Bigger Hop brings flavors of citrus, pine, and caramel malt undertones.

This is a hop forward brew with bitterness on first sip, and some smooth grassy/piney notes on the backend. Moderately carbonated, the malts balance this beer but still allow the hop flavors to shine well.

Available January-April, this beer can be found in 16oz cans, 22oz bottles, and on tap at the brewery and various locations around Pittsburgh.
