Big Hop from East End Brewing Company is a 5.8% IPA. This is their flagship beer that is distributed fairly well across the state (we found in eastern PA), and by far their most popular offering.
Brewed with tons of Centennial and Cascade hops, you get the hoppy but without a ton of bitterness. East End balances the hops with Munich Malt for a great mix of flavors.
Pouring to an amber/copper color or of the bright green can, you’ll notice a small head that dissipated quickly. Aromas of citrus, pine, and some malts are apparent once the can is cracked. Tasting this you’ll get flooded with citrus and pine flavors from the hops, without too much of a bite that you would expect.
Overall, it’s easy to see why this is he flagship beer for East End. We can’t wait to try this at the brewery and taproom, both located in Pittsburgh!
