Better One Or Two is a 8% ABV/65 IBU double IPA from Dancing Gnome Brewing Company (Pittsburgh, PA). This brew is made with a mix of American and English malts, and Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, and Columbus hops in the boil. It was also dry hopped with Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic!
Better One or Two pours to a light hazy golden color with a small white head, leaving just a little lacing in your glass as you sip. The aromas on this brew are outstanding, really citrusy and juicy! Smells of melons, orange, mango, pineapple, and some light malts.
Tasting this beer brings a creamy mouthfeel and medium body with a slightly dry finish. The bitterness you would expect is fairly mild, and all the flavors make this an enjoyable drink. We noticed flavors of fresh tropical fruits (mangos, melons, orange, lime, grapefruit), and some piney/grassey notes. There is a nice pale malt/biscuit undertone that really helps balance this beers bitterness out.
Pour this one into a pint or snifter glass and try to grab it on tap if you can’t snag some cans!
