Azacca-Ho from Stable 12 Brewing Co.

Azacca-Ho is an American, New England-style IPA with 7.5% ABV from Stable 12 Brewing Co. out of Phoenixville, PA. Azacca-Ho now joins the ranks as the 5th beer the brewery has canned, with previous canning runs of Rodeo Clown, Wild West IPA, Crowd Pleaser and Razzle Dazzle.

Pouring golden-yellow, Azacca-Ho has a dense, pillowy white head the slowly dissolves over time and leaves an even lacing on your glass’ edges. As the name suggests, this pale was brewed with a combination of Azacca and Idaho 7 hops that give it both a floral and tropical fruit inspired aroma.

Despite its lower IBU of 35 there’s still plenty of bitterness to be had from the Idaho 7 hops through the middle portion before evening out towards the finish. The Azacca though truly shines bringing tons of fruity punch with a hint of citrus.

The lactose sugar used in the brewing process leads to a full-bodied beer that is substantial and creamy without being too heavy. Each sip is satisfying and worthy of a slow, deliberate drinking where all of it complexity can be savored and enjoyed.

Released at noon on Saturday, June 24th at the Phoenixville brewery there are still cans available for only $16 per 4 pack as well as their DIPA, Crowd Pleaser, in both 4 packs and cases while supplies last.
