American Hero is a 5.7% ABV/42 IBU American amber ale made by Liquid Hero Brewery out of York PA. It is available year round, and is one of four flagships beers the brewery cans.
Made with Nugget and Centennial hops, and Pale, Munich, and Crystal malts, this brew pairs very well with barbecue and FREEDOM as Liquid Hero’s website says.
Pouring to a deep amber with a slight unfiltered and haze look to it, you’ll see a half inch beige head form in the glass. Aromas of caramel, bread, toffee, and grassy and floral hops.
Sipping this brew you will notice the sweet caramel/malty flavor with just enough earthy/floral notes from the Nugget and Centennial hops to round it out. American Hero has a semi dry finish with moderate carbonation, and a light mouthfeel.
